AN ACT
1 Authorizing the Department of General Services with the approval
2 of the Department of Public Welfare and the Governor, to sell
3 and convey 1.4377 acres, more or less, of land situate in the
4 12th Ward of the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County
5 Pennsylvania to the Windsor Corporation.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. The Department of General Services, with the
9 approval of the Department of Public Welfare and the Governor,
10 is hereby authorized on behalf of the Commonwealth of
11 Pennsylvania to sell to Windsor Corporation, Allegheny County
12 for such consideration as an independent appraisal obtained
13 through the Department of General Services shall determine and
14 the Attorney General shall approve, the following described
15 tract of land situated in the 12th Ward of the City of
16 Pittsburgh, County of Allegheny and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
17 bounded and described as follows:
18 Beginning at a concrete monument marking the southeast corner
19 of a parcel of land conveyed by the U.S.A. to the Urban
1 Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh by deed dated May 9, 1963;
2 thence from said concrete monument south 77 degrees 12 minutes
3 40 seconds east, a distance of 398.50 feet to a point in the
4 center line of Leech Farm Road (said line being the same line as
5 the southeast boundary of property now or formerly Windsor
6 House, Incorporated of Pittsburgh, Pa.); thence along said
7 center line south 81 degrees 54 minutes 40 seconds east, a
8 distance of 150 feet to a point; thence north 77 degrees 12
9 minutes 40 seconds west, a distance of 453.41 feet to a point;
10 thence north 1 degree 20 minutes 51 seconds east, a distance of
11 150 feet to a concrete marker, or place of beginning, containing
12 1.4377 acres, more or less.
13 SECTION 2. THE COST OF THE INDEPENDENT APPRAISAL PROVIDED <--
14 FOR IN SECTION 1 SHALL BE BORNE BY THE GRANTEE.
15 Section 2. 3. The Deed of Conveyance shall be approved by <--
16 the Department of Justice and shall be executed by the Secretary
17 of General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
18 Pennsylvania.
19 Section 3. 4. This act shall take effect immediately. <--
