                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Recognizing May 24 through 30, 1992, as "Antiques Week."

     2     WHEREAS, Pennsylvania played a key role in producing the
     3  17th, 18th and 19th century home furnishings which have aged
     4  into some of the finest antiques of our heritage; and
     5     WHEREAS, Each year, Pennsylvania attracts thousands of
     6  antique collectors to visit antiques shops and shows in such
     7  dealer meccas as Gettysburg, Carlisle, Duncansville, Valley
     8  Forge, Denver, Hepburn Township, New Oxford, King of Prussia and
     9  Chambersburg; and
    10     WHEREAS, Each spring, Pennsylvania hosts numerous outstanding
    11  antiques shows, including the Eastern National Antiques Show in
    12  Harrisburg and the Antiques at Carlisle Show, and ongoing
    13  markets at Shupp's Grove, Silver Springs, Renninger's and
    14  Adamstown's Black Angus; and


     1     WHEREAS, Antiques reveal a living record of the history of
     2  our Commonwealth and attest to the role Pennsylvania has played
     3  in expanding our nation's frontiers; therefore be it
     4     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize May 24
     5  through 30, 1992, as "Antiques Week."
