AN ACT
1 Amending the act of December 21, 1973 (P.L.425, No.148),
2 entitled "An act authorizing the establishment of
3 environmental advisory councils by certain political
4 subdivisions," extending the act to counties.
5 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
6 hereby enacts as follows:
7 Section 1. Section 1 of the act of December 21, 1973
8 (P.L.425, No.148), referred to as the Municipal Environmental
9 Advisory Council Law, is amended to read:
10 Section 1. The governing body of any city, borough,
11 township, [or] incorporated town or county, or group of two or
12 more such political subdivisions, may by ordinance establish an
13 Environmental Advisory Council to advise other local
14 governmental agencies, including, but not limited to, the
15 planning commission, park and recreation boards and elected
16 officials, on matters dealing with protection, conservation,
17 management, promotion and use of natural resources, including
1 air, land and water resources, located within its or their
2 territorial limits.
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
