A RESOLUTION 1 Designating the first week of November as "Friendly Neighbor 2 Week." 3 WHEREAS, The backbone of our local and State government is 4 the commitment of trust and the respect of neighbors; and 5 WHEREAS, Now is our opportunity to reach out as a united 6 movement to help our neighbors who are not as fortunate as we 7 are; and 8 WHEREAS, In this manner we will fulfill the spirit of 9 friendliness and congeniality for this friendly neighbor 10 project; therefore be it 11 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the 12 first week of November as "Friendly Neighbor Week"; and be it 13 further 14 RESOLVED, That toys, nonperishable food, clothes, furniture 15 and other necessary commodities be collected and given to local 16 charity organizations to distribute to our neighbors who are
1 less fortunate than we are; and be it further 2 RESOLVED, That first week of November be dedicated as a time 3 when goods may be collected, delivered and distributed to 4 various charitable organizations. A13L82SS/19870H0015R0154 - 2 -
