Amend Bill, page 1, lines 8 and 9, by striking out all of
said lines and inserting
Section 1. The definitions of "pedestrian" and "serious
bodily injury" in section 102 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes are amended and the section is amended by
adding definitions to read:
Amend Bill, page 1, lines 17 and 18; page 2, lines 1 through
3; by striking out all of said lines on said pages and inserting
"Bodily injury." As defined in 18 Pa.C.S. § 2301 (relating
to definitions).

"Pedestrian." A natural person afoot[.] or in a self-
propelled wheelchair or an electrical mobility device operated
by and designed for the exclusive use of a person with a
mobility-related disability.

"Serious bodily injury." [Any bodily injury which creates a
substantial risk of death or which causes serious, permanent
disfigurement or protracted loss or impairment of the function
of any bodily member or organ] As defined in 18 Pa.C.S. § 2301.

"Vulnerable highway user." A natural person afoot, on
wheels, directed by a farm or service animal or other device and
is lawfully on a highway. This term shall include a farm vehicle
and a natural person transported by another natural person.
