8(a) Findings.--

9(1) Residents of Bushkill Township in Northampton County
10have fought in every military conflict, including World War
11II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Operations Desert Storm
12and Desert Shield and the recent conflicts in Iraq and
13Afghanistan.

14(2) Hundreds of veterans and their families have made
15unimaginable and innumerable sacrifices in defense of the
16United States.

17(b) Designation.--The section of Bushkill Center Road in
18Northampton County from State Route 512 to Jacobsburg Road is
19hereby designated the Veterans Memorial Highway.

20(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
21maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the highway to
22traffic in both directions on the highway.
