1Amend Bill, page 1, line 17, by inserting after "section."

2 The uniform standards and qualifications shall require an 
3institution that qualifies as a purely public charity to devote 
4a reasonable amount of its annual revenues to charity care in 
5its defined core services. The amount shall be valued in good 
6faith and be a reasonable estimate of the cost of providing the 
7services. If an institution that qualifies as a purely public 
8charity is owned by another entity, the entity's annual 
9revenues, including from its for-profit subsidiaries, shall be 
10taken into consideration when calculating the required charity 
11care for the institution that qualifies as a purely public 
12charity.
