Subject:	American Red Cross Month - March

Please join us in cosponsoring a resolution designating March as "American Red Cross Month" in Pennsylvania. Today's Red Cross is a volunteer-led humanitarian organization that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps our citizens prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies. In fiscal year 2017, 6,265 Red Cross volunteers responded to 2,116 disasters statewide and assisted 4,369 families. Last year, SR 56 was sponsored by Senators Vulakovich, Baker, Aument, Bartolotta, Boscola, Brewster, Brooks, Browne, Costa, Eichelberger, Farnese, Fontana, Gordner, Greenleaf, Hughes, Hutchinson, Killion, Martin, Mensch, Rafferty, Reschenthaler, Sabatina, Scavello, Street, Tartaglione, Ward, Yaw, and Yudichak.
