MEMORANDUM

Posted: April 24, 2017 11:52 AM
From: Senator Daylin Leach
To: All Senate members
Subject: Day of Remembrance of the Armenian Genocide

In the near future I will be introducing a resolution once again designating a day of remembrance in the Commonwealth for the Armenian Genocide of 1915-1923.

Generally agreed to have begun on April 24th, 1915, the Armenian Genocide, or Medz Yeghern, was the systematic extermination of the minority Armenian subjects of the Ottoman government. Carried out in two phases, the massacre resulted in the deaths of an estimate 1.5 million victims.

Please join me in keeping their memory alive and designating Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day in Pennsylvania.

Introduced as SR86
