Subject: Special Registration Plate - Soldier's Medal
 

In the near future I intend to introduce legislation which will amend Title 75 (Vehicle) providing special registration plates for recipients of the Soldier’s Medal.

The Soldier's Medal is awarded to any person of the Armed Forces of the United States or of a friendly foreign nation who, while serving in any capacity with the Army of the United States distinguished himself or herself by heroism not involving direct conflict with an enemy.

The fee for the special registration plate will be $20 annually and will be available for cars and trucks with a gross weigh lower than 14,000 pounds.
