Subject: NALC Stamp Out Hunger! Food Drive Day
 
In the future, we intend to introduce a resolution recognizing May 14, 2016 as National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Stamp Out Hunger! Food Drive Day in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

This year will mark the 24th anniversary for the nation’s largest single-day food drive. These donations provide a critical boost for the summer months, a time when supplies are low and school lunch programs are not available for area youth. To date, local Letter Carriers have delivered more than 2.1 million pounds of food to Second Harvest and other member agencies for distribution for families in need.

Please join us in support of this important initiative to increase awareness, to feed our communities in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and to “Stamp Out Hunger!”
