Subject: Resolution commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Workers' Compensation Act.in the Commonwealth
 

Please join me in co-sponsoring a resolution commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Workers' Compensation Act in the Commonwealth.

Enacted in June, 1915, the Workers’ Compensation Act protects both employees and employers, and is sometimes called the “Grand Bargain.”

Employees receive medical treatment and are compensated for lost wages associated with work-related injuries and disease, and employers provide for the cost of such coverage while being protected from direct lawsuits by employees.
