Subject: Women’s Lung Health Week Resolution
 
In the near future, I will introduce a resolution recognizing May 11 – 15, 2015 as “Women’s Lung Health” Week in Pennsylvania.

Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer among women in the United States, with this rate almost doubling over the past 37 years.

Advocacy and increased awareness will result in better treatment and more options for women with lung cancer and other lung-related diseases. Ultimately, the goal is to help save lives.

Please join me to cosponsor this resolution which is intended to raise awareness and encourage all residents of Pennsylvania to learn more about the detection and treatment of lung cancer.
