Subject: Voluntary Suspension of Phone Service
 

I plan to introduce legislation that would allow telephone customers to suspend their service for up to one year. During that year, they would maintain their telephone number and pay a flat $5 monthly fee for the suspension. No other rates, fees, or charges may be imposed for a voluntary suspension of service.
