Subject: | Resolution honoring and remembering the heroes of the Thai soccer team rescue |
In the near future, I plan to introduce a resolution to honor, remember and celebrate the heroics and humanity that was part of the Thailand Wild Boars soccer team rescue. The 12 member boys soccer team and their 25-year-old coach were trapped inside a cave for a grueling 18 days. More than 1,000 people, including people from the United States took part in the rescue. Four members of the Thai military, including one Army doctor and three Navy SEALS were able to enter the cave and stayed with the team. The entire team survived the rescue. Sadly, an experienced Thai diver lost his life while trying to save the soccer team and coach. The entire world watched as this ordeal unfolded. Through that effort we came together to share our thoughts, prayers and concerns for the people trapped inside the cave, as well as the efforts of those involved in the rescue. We came together for what only can be described as a miracle. I hope that you will consider co-sponsoring this resolution to honor the young boys and their coach who survived this ordeal and to celebrate and thank the people who came to their rescue. |
