MEMORANDUM

Posted: February 28, 2018 10:07 AM
From: Representative Daryl D. Metcalfe
To: All House members
Subject: Regulatory Reform Resolution

During hearings conducted by the State Government Committee in 2017 testifiers confirmed what we have been hearing for years. Regulatory burdens are a hindrance to business development and the exercise of personal freedoms. While the hearing testimony and feedback from the business community and other interested Pennsylvanians focused on state regulatory burdens, federal regulatory overreach is also on the minds of many in our Commonwealth.

Given the combined impact of state and federal regulatory burdens on our citizens and the importance of moving both state and federal regulatory reforms forward together, I plan to introduce a resolution that will commend the President and Congress for their ongoing efforts to reduce regulatory overreach at the federal level and urge them to continue such efforts and reaffirm the role of Congress as the primary policymaking branch of the federal government.

Please join me in cosponsoring this important and timely resolution.
