From: Representative Frank Burns

Subject: Francis and Robert Zerbee Memorial Bridge

In the very near future, I will be introducing legislation to rename a bridge in my legislative district to the Francis and Robert Zerbee Memorial Bridge.

Specifically, the bridge is located on the portion of Route 36 over Clearfield Creek in Ashville, Cambria County.

Born on September 21, 1922, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Zerbee of Patton, Private First Class Francis Zerbee served in the United States Army, 318 INF/80 INF DIV in Saint Lo, France. He was fatally wounded November 26, 1944 during World War II. He received the combat infantryman’s badge.

Born on November 11, 1918, also the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Zerbee of Patton, Corporal Robert Zerbee served in the United States Army, Tank Battalion in Anzio Beachhead, Italy where he was fatally wounded May 26, 1944 during World War II.

Please join me in honoring PFC Francis Zerbee and CPL Robert Zerbee. Thank you.
