Subject: Volunteer Fire Company/Veterans' Organization Exemption
 
The recent enactment of Act 39 contained a licensee surcharge of $700.

It has become apparent that this increase has become financially burdensome on our national veterans’ organizations and volunteer fire companies in our local communities. My legislation proposes to exempt such organizations from this increase in hopes that these organizations can continue to be viable assets to our community.
