Subject: | Resolution Recognizing April 16, 2017 as "World Voice Day" in Pennsylvania |
In the near future, I plan to introduce a House Resolution recognizing April 16, 2017 as “World Voice Day” in Pennsylvania. Approximately seven million Americans suffer from some form of voice disorder which impacts their lives and ability to fully express themselves. Many people do not understand the signs and symptoms of these disorders and often delay treatment which can cause irreparable damage to their voice quality. World Voice Day, which is observed annually on April 16, encourages men and women to assess their vocal health and take action to improve or maintain good voice habits. The American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery has sponsored the U.S. observance of World Voice Day since its inception in 2002. I hope you join me in co-sponsoring this resolution and encouraging your communities to join together to recognize the importance of vocal health through the celebration of World Voice Day. Thank you for your interest and support. |
