| Subject: | Title Certification Requirements for Out- of-State Title Transfers |
| In the near future, I will reintroducing legislation (HB 1518) which will alleviate the issue of titling a manufactured home with an out-of-state title. A manufactured home is not affixed to property in Pennsylvania. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain a tax certification from the taxing authority (if it was taxed) where the home was previously titled, which in the case of an out-of-state title, is another state. Because the laws are not the same in other states, this often makes it difficult to acquire tax certifications from neighboring states. My language will exempt homes which have not been previously titled in Pennsylvania from the tax certification requirement. Please join me in cosponsoring this important legislation.
