Subject: Proposed Resolution - Designating May 2014 Community Action Month
 

In the near future, I plan to introduce legislation honoring the Community Action Agencies and the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania (CAAP) for their hard work and ongoing efforts to make Pennsylvania a better place to live, by designating May 2014 as Community Action Month in Pennsylvania.

Created in 1964, to this day Community Action Agencies remain a strong voice for the Commonwealth’s citizenry. With 43 local agencies across the state, CAPP continues to provide services with compassion, honesty and reliability to individuals in poverty. Operating through an extensive network of care, Community Action continues to yield positive results through program efficiencies.

Please join me in co-sponsoring this resolution recognizing a private nonprofit who has done their part for 50 years.
